The residential tenancy agreement will form a contract between landlord and tenant and sets out the rights and responsibilities of landlord and tenant. Two copies of the tenancy agreement should
be issued and signed by all parties; both parties should file their copy of the tenancy agreement in a safe place and use for reference.
If you are renewing a tenancy a new tenancy agreement should
be issued at the time of expiry of the tenancy agreement; this agreement will replace the old agreement. As a landlord you should advise your tenant of any changes to the agreement when renewing their tenancy.
